GRANBURY — Susan Carol Gravatt, 67, of Granbury, TX. went to be with the Lord March 28, 2015 in Fort Worth, Texas, surrounded by her family.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, April 2, 2015 in Martin’s Funeral Home Chapel.

Susan was born June 8, 1947 to the late George and Lillian Peart. She was the oldest of six children. On March 9, 1967 she married Michael Gravatt, who survives her.
The daughter of a U.S. Marine, she moved around a bit with her family, but spent most of her youth in Santa Anna, CA. where she was known as Miss Sunshine at Mater Dei High School.
At the end of her senior year in high school, her family was transferred to Quantico, VA where she met the love of her life. Three months after meeting Michael Gravatt, on a blind date, they eloped and had a beautiful marriage that lasted 48 years.
They spent the first 16 years of their marriage in Florence, NJ where they had two daughters.
In 1983 they all moved to Granbury where they attended St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church and she worked for TXU. They made many great friends who were captivated by this beautiful woman’s smile.
Her daughters blessed her with seven grandchildren, who were in turn blessed with the most wonderful grandmother anyone could wish for. She and her husband loved to take their grandchildren on trips all over the world where they created wonderful memories that will never be forgotten.
Although she hadn’t painted in many years, she was a very accomplished artist, who had won many awards and passed her talent on to many of her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband: Michael Gravatt of Granbury, TX;, daughter, Traci Lee of Crowley, TX.; daughter and son-in-law, Kelli and Bobby White of Granbury, TX;, grandchildren, Ryan, Rebecca, Dylan and Devin Lee of Crowley, TX, Brice Baker and Britt White of Granbury, TX;, siblings, Barbara Hampton of Weatherford, TX, JoAnn and John Elizondo of Fort Worth, TX, Tom Peart of Pheonix, AZ, Judi Galbreath of Fort Worth, TX and Chuck Peart of Fort Worth; step-siblings, Olin Davis of Fort Worth and Tricia and Mike Ray of Hawkins, TX;
In-laws, Rose Conners of Florence, NJ, Betty Gravatt of Whiting, NJ, Helen and Rich Brown of Florence, NJ, Stella and Bert Smith of Whiting, NJ, Jason and Evelyn Gravatt of Somerset, NJ and Calvin and Cindy Gravatt of Redwood Valley, CA.

So many nieces and nephews that loved their Aunt Sue with all their hearts, and so many friends who will never forget the sunshine she brought to their lives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lillian Peart, step-Mom, Dorothy Davis Peart and brother-in-law, James Gravatt.
