Services will be held at Cook-Walden Mausoleum Chapel in Pflugerville at 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 25, 2021 with entombment to follow. 

Vaida Marie Walters, 96, passed away on Thursday; February 11, 2021 in Granbury.

 

She was born January 26, 1925 in McLennan County, Texas to Levi and Hattie Oliver Lehman.

 

Vaida was a great artist who loved to paint, she loved plants and enjoyed gardening and she was a wonderful cook. In her earlier years she was a member of the Iris Club.

 

Vaida was preceded in death by her parents, Levi and Hattie Oliver Lehman; her husband, John Harold Walters; son, Ron Walters and his wife Betty Walters, son, Raymond Walters; son-in-law, Donald Earl Gustin; grandson, Dwayne Ward; great-grandson, Joseph Ryan Turner; two brothers and three sisters and a number of nieces and nephews also preceded her in death.

 

She is survived by her daughter, Glenda Gustin; grandson, Darryl Ward (Evelyn); granddaughter, Teresa Turner and husband Randy; grandson, John Walters and wife Jennifer; grandson Rick Mellon and wife Stacey; eleven great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

 

 

 

Services will be held at Cook-Walden Mausoleum Chapel in Pflugerville at 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 25, 2021 with entombment to follow.
