GRANBURY — Vera “Imo” Ross, 85, passed away May 11, 2016 in Granbury, Texas.
Service: 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Wiley Funeral Home Chapel in Granbury, Texas.
Imo was born to Carl and Nora L. Alston on February 22, 1931 in Sweetwater, Texas. She married Clifford A. “Red” Ross on March 26, 1957 in Muskogee, OK. She was very organized and a perfectionist. Imo enjoyed playing cards, bridge, golf, and doing cross words. She enjoyed watching sports, especially the Cowboys. Imo was a “mover and a shaker”. She was very caring and she supported her children in all things. She made clothes for children and grandchildren. Imo was a member of the Acton United Methodist Church, which she loved.
Imo was preceded in death by her parents, her husband “Red”, her five sisters, and five brothers.
Imo was survived by her children: Kathy (Johnny) Rozell, Eddie (Susan) Ross, and Susan (Phil) Casey; her grandchildren: Monica (Wendell) McDonald, Shelly (Randy) Schrader, Cliff Ross, Jordan (Tara) Ross, and Edward Ross III; and great grandchildren, Macy, Morgan, Haylea, Lilly, and Augie; her sister: Vada Shanklin; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
