Violet was born June 7, 1935 to the late Paul and Adina (Kemp) Carlile in Leon, Oklahoma. As a teenager, she excelled at basketball and softball. She met the love of her life, John Enlow from Sanger when she was just 14. They married on March 1, 1952 before she graduated from Leon Schools as Valedictorian in 1953. After her graduation, they moved to Fort Worth where she worked at Convair until they started their family in 1956. Violet became a housewife and mother of three sons. Family activities included playing basketball, cross country road trips, boating and riding motorcycles. She encouraged her children to seek out education and to set high goals. She supported her sons throughout their careers, often working in their offices.
As her family grew, grandchildren became her pride and joy. She loved to have them come to the house where they would play and bake cookies. She loved to attend their church and school functions.
Violet was a woman of great faith. She was an active church member and a prayer warrior. She instilled her faith in her family to all generations.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Garden Terrace at Fort Worth who lovingly cared for her.
She was predeceased by her parents and three brothers.
