Virgie was born on July 29, 1934 in Nauvoo, Alabama to Dewey and Anna Lou Franks Smith. She married John Smith in 1958 and had two children. She was preceded in death by her son Anthony Roger “Tony” Smith, her parents Dewey and Annie Lou Smith and four sisters and one brother.
Survivors: Husband John Smith; daughter LaJohnna Smith Mitchell and husband Ron; granddaughter Allison Leigh Mitchell and grandson R. Alex Mitchell.
