Virginia “Cookie” Cain of Tolar passed from this world on May 4, 2018 at the Granbury Villa. Funeral service will be at Elm Grove Church in Tolar on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 10:00 am. Burial will be at the Stroud’s Creek Cemetery following the service. Viewing will be at the Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury on Monday, May 7, 2018 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
Virginia was the daughter of Albert and Ruth Murphy Wallace. She was born in McCulloch County, Texas on January 2, 1943. She married Jacob Cain on
February 18, 1960. She has lived in Tolar since 1994. She was an active member of the Elm Grove Church for many years.
Virginia was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and Friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Albert Wallace in 1985 and Ruth Wallace in 1995; son, John Cain in 2011; brother, Albert Wallace in 2016.
Survived by husband, Jacob Cain of Tolar; daughters, Babs & Scott James of Acton, Theresa Brafford of Granbury, Judy & Justin Cherry of Tolar; sons, Clenton & Barbara Cain of Acton, Ronnie Cain of Tolar and Robby & Belynda Cain of Brandon, Mississippi; sister, Nadine Wallace of Brownwood; sister-in-law, Jennifer Wallace of Seymour. Virginia is survived by 20 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
