GRANBURY — Vivian “Cookie” Pike, 89, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014, in Granbury.
Funeral: 11:00 a.m. Monday, Nov. 24, 2014, at Wiley Funeral Home. Burial: 3:00 p.m. Monday at Rosehill Cemetery in Fort Worth. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Pike was born Apr. 13, 1925, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to George Edwin Covey and Lola Grace Grimm Covey. She managed several cafeterias for the Birdwell ISD and was a member of the Texas Teachers Association. Vivian raised seven children and lots of grandchildren and great grandchildren. She worked up until the age 80. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Walter Eldon Pike, and two sons, Earl Dean Pike and Curtis Edwin Pike.
Survivors: Children, Wayne and Pat Pike, Phyllis Smith, Patricia Pike-Smith, Suzi and John Besgrove, Richard Glenn and Julie Pike; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; sister, Audrey Secrest; brother, Clyde and Melba Covey.
