Walter Joe McDow, 85, passed away Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013 in Granbury, Texas.
Funeral service Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013 in Holly Hills Mausoleum Chapel, with interment at Holly Hills Memorial Park.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy McDow and brother, Tommy McDow.
He retired as a SSGT – E-5 from the U. S. Air Force on October 31, 1969 and moved to Granbury in 1973, where he became a self-employed over the road truck driver.
He was a member of both VFW and American Legion and served in many offices at each, including Commander of American Legion Post 491.
Survivors: daughter, Debra Therault and husband Paul; grandchildren, Chris Current, Elysha Stanley, Crystal Ary, Paul Tyner, Chad Therault and Joseph Tyner and 10 great-grandchildren.
