W.C. Black, 87, passed away Monday, December 5, 2016 in Granbury.

W.C. “Dub” Black was born July 18, 1929 in Seymour, TX to Christopher and Beulah Black. He married Mary Baucum on October 13, 1948 in Lubbock. Dub worked in oil and gas as well as farming and ranching. He raised livestock and thoroughbred and quarter horses. Dub was a builder, a welder and a cotton gin business owner. He and Mary are members of the First Baptist Church of Granbury. Dub was preceded in death by his sister, Nellwyn Puckett and brothers, Robert Wayne Black and Charles Gene Black.
Survivors: wife, Mary Black; sons, Tom Black and wife Janet, Billy Chris Black and wife D’June; grandchildren, Jennifer Barker and husband Craig, Julia Hix and husband Chris, Evan Black and wife Kelsie; great grandchildren, Cannon Barker, Cayden Barker, Kenadee Black, Kenzie Black; brothers, Jim Black, John Black and wife Lenora.
