GRANBURY — Wendell C. Wardlow, 88, passed away Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014 in Granbury. Service: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Chapel in Pampa. Interment: Fairview Cemetery in Pampa. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Home.
Wendell was born Oct. 27, 1926 in Plainview to Carol and Matty Ruth Wardlow. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and retired from Ingerson-Rand Corp. after 32 years of service. He married Wilma Ann Dooley on Nov. 13, 1944 in Plainview. She passed away March 4, 2014. Wendell enjoyed whistling, playing harmonica and singing. He liked the outdoors, skiing, etc. and could fix most things. Wendell was a member of Stonewater Church in Granbury and served as a Sunday School teacher and sang in the choir. He had lived in Granbury for seven years.
Survivors: Children, Stanley Wardlow, Rick and Teresa Wardlow and Michelle and Steve Wardlow-Rivera; grandchildren, Tavela Norris, Amy & Luke Morton, Amanda & Chris Wilson, Paydon & Raychel Ramirez and Falon Ramirez; great-grandchildren, Kobe, Brenna, Tia, Mia, Haven, Ella, Ethan, Xaylei, Paydon, Jr., Brinley, Macey, Isaiah and Aiden; great-great-grandchildren, Jade, Lane and Robert; brother, Jimmy Wardlow and Ruby.
