TOLAR — Wesley L. “Dub” Ives, 77, passed away Monday, Sept. 28, 2015, in Granbury.
Funeral: 10:00 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015, at Tolar Baptist Church.
Burial: Tolar Cemetery.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Wiley Funeral Home.
Dub was born Aug. 24, 1938, in Itasca, Texas, to Wesley N. Ives and Letha Cornelison Ives. He married Carolyn Carpenter, Nov. 30, 1983, in Tolar. Dub had lived in Tolar for 37 years and was a member of the Tolar Baptist Church. He attended Tolar and Granbury schools and retired from Miller Brewery after 27 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Bluff Dale. He loved to hunt and collect coins. He also collected thimbles, juicers, owls and puzzles. He enjoyed his tractor and working on lawn mowers. Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister, Martha Nell Carter.
Survivors: Wife, Carolyn Ives of Tolar; son, Jackie Glen Ives of Livingston; daughter, Kelley Dawn Agee and husband, John, of Tolar; step-children, Debbie Daniel of Burleson, Steve Brown of Beaumont; grandchildren, Dallas Leigh Bacon of Granbury, Brodie Earl Vaughn of Van Cleave, Miss., Micah Brown, Christian Brown; seven great grandchildren; brother, Jack Ives and wife, Freeda, of Tolar, brother-in-law, Jimmy Carpenter and wife, Nina, of Fort Worth; sister, Charlene Mayberry and husband, Frank, of Mambrino, sister-in-law, Sherry Hill of Azle; and several nieces and nephews.
