William was born on May 13, 1925 in Glen Rose, Texas to Daniel and Willie Shipman. He proudly served in the United States Army. He married Ruby Stewart on April 14, 1948 in Glen Rose, Texas. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
William built airplanes for Lockheed Martin. He was a member of Cottonwood Church. He was preceded in death by his parents: Daniel and Willie Shipman, wife: Ruby Stewart, and siblings: Juanita, Frank and Bessie.
William is survived by his children: Willie Shipman and wife Judy, Brenda Needham, Ricky Shipman and wife Donna, Mike Shipman and wife Candace, and Todd Shipman and wife Vicki, grandchildren: Wade Tribble, Chad Shipman, Stephanie Shipman, Fallon Shipman, Cody Shipman, Ryan Shipman, and Maverick Shipman, great-grandchildren: Ian Tribble, Caden Tribble, Brooklyn Vara, Grayson Shipman, Blair Shipman, Oaklee Schieffer, Cason Shipman, Radley Shipman, Abree Shipman, Addison Tribble and Bexlee Schieffer.
