William “Bill” Bruce Turner

William “Bill” Bruce Turner passed away Thursday, September 15, 2016, in Fort Worth.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, September 19, in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Azleland Memorial Park. The family will be present to receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Bill was born January 15, 1940, in Pittsburg, Kansas, to Paul and Betty Turner and grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a master sergeant after a 20-plus-year career in service to his country. He also served 12 years in the civil service at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the Ammunition Plant in McAlester, Oklahoma, and at General Dynamics for the U.S. Government in Fort Worth.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Betty Turner; two sons, Bruce Turner and Shawn Turner; daughter, Olivia Renau Turner; and sister, Edna Scott.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Norma Turner of the home with whom he enjoyed 31 years of marriage; 12 children; 29 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Norman Turner of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Randy Turner; sister, Marilyn Matthews of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and a host of other relatives and friends.
