William was born May 31, 1929, in Ballinger, Texas, to William Frederick Eisenbeck and Annie Katherine Beckhusen Eisenbeck. He married Mary Beth Hule of Lohn, Texas and they enjoyed 64 years of marriage.
Sergeant Major (Ret) Eisenbeck served in the U.S. Army 28 years, serving at serving Fort Ord, CA; Fort Sam Houston, Texas; Fort Chaffee, Ark; Goodfellow AFB, San Angelo; Saignon, Vietnam; Fort Bliss, Texas; Fort Sill, Oklahoma, Heidelberg, Germany; and Hanau, Germany. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal w/ Oak Leaf Cluster, Meritorious Service Medal w/ Oak Leaf Cluster, Army Commendation Medal w/Oak Leaf Cluster, World War II Victory Medal, Army Service Ribbon Vietnam Service Medal w/Four Bronze Service Stars, Army Good Conduct Medal/3, Recruiter Badge, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Aircraft Crewman Badge, Marksmen Rifle M-16, Overseas Service Bars/2, and Marksmen (Pistol 38 cal).
“Bill” as he was known to family and friends is most well-known for giving the best hugs, his laughter, his cooking, and his stories. He never knew a stranger.
Survivors: Wife, Mary Beth Eisenbeck of Granbury; children, Rebecca Eckert of Granbury, Texas, Melanie Henson of Lorton, Virginia, Pamela Farmer of Frisco, Texas, Jerita O’Neal of Burleson, Texas; grandchildren, Heather Luna, Marissa Eckert, William McShan Henson, Jennifer Medina, Jarrod Farmer, Cody Farmer, Beth Farmer; great grandchildren, Kailey, Trey, Hayden, Jordan, Derrick, Ryanne, Dylan.
