GRANBURY — William James Thresher, 64, of Zephyr, Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 7, 2013.
Service: A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, June 12th at 11 o’clock in the morning in a private ceremony officiated by Reverend Farris Whitehead.
Bill was born on June 10, 1948 to James and Betty Thresher in Olney, Texas. He was a graduate of Diamond Hill High School and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He enjoyed golf, hunting and was a long time member of Eastern Heights Church in Cleburne, Texas and more recently Zephyr Baptist Church in Zephyr, Texas. Bill spent the majority of his life in construction with an emphasis in remodeling and had recently retired. Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Thresher.
Survivors: Bill is survived by his wife Blasita Thresher of Zephyr, Texas, father James Thresher, brother Harvey Thresher, and sister Lottie Harris and husband Larry. Bill’s true passion was spending time with his children and grandchildren; Daughter Jenny Rodriguez and husband Aaron, daughter Emily Brown and husband Martin, son Jason Garrison, son Matthew Garrison and wife Sarah, son Adam Thresher, daughter Carly Thresher and grandchildren Cade, Ethan, Sophia, Hayden, Reis, Patric, Mallory and Reilyn, as well as a loving extended family.
