There’s to many great memories to pick one. I will cherish every memory and moment I had with my dad. He always shared his interests with his family either it be trips to Disney or just playing chess. He was such an intelligent and honest man. He taught me so much and even though he probably didn’t think I was listening I always was. He will be extremely missed.

I meet Mike when he married my sister Melinda. He was always very nice and very smart. He introduced me to my husband Dewey. When my grandson Kane was in chess, Mike advised us about chess tournaments. He will be missed.

One of my fondest memories of Papa was when we were driving one night. He told me to hold my hand out of the window and slowly raise my hand up until the wind blew it back. Exhilarating, it was one of the many things he taught us, and one of the many that will last forever.

Candace and I are best friends that grew up together. I spent many days and nights at Candace's house and had the pleasure of having many conversations with Mr. Day. He was such an intellectual person with so many facts and stories. I always learned something new when I was over there. He even taught me tricks on playing chess. Of course I don't remember any of the moves. I am glad I got to know him and know he will be deeply missed by his family.
