GLEN ROSE — William Wilson, 94, a longtime resident of Glen Rose, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2015, in Glen Rose.
Graveside service: 11 a.m. Saturday, Apr. 18, 2015, at Squaw Creek Cemetery in Rainbow. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Wiley Funeral Home in Glen Rose.
William was born Mar. 21, 1921, in the Lanham Mill community in Somervell County, to Jordan Dillard Wilson and Ora Able Wilson. He married Mary Helen Young on Jan. 6, 1942. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War Two. In 1959, William and three of his brothers opened and operated the Wilson Brothers Service Station and Garage. William was preceded in death by his parents, Jordan Dillard Wilson and Ora Able Wilson; wife, Mary Helen Wilson; sister, Oleta Wilson; and brothers, Roy Wilson, John Wilson, Murray Wilson, Elbert Wilson and Ross Wilson.
Survivors: Son, Ed Wilson and wife, Linda; daughter, Kathy Ratliff and husband, John; grandchildren, Steven Ratliff, Malinda Greene, Christi Ice; great grandchildren, Cole Linker, Caden Ice, Cason Green; brother, Doyle Wilson; sisters, Fern Woods, Earlene Gatewood; and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
