TOLAR — Marie Parker, 93, passed away Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, in Glen Rose.
Funeral: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, at Faith Baptist Church on Hill City Hwy. Burial: Tolar Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Wiley Funeral Home in Glen Rose.
Memorials: Faith Baptist Church, 8222 Hill City Hwy, Tolar, Texas 76476.
Mrs. Parker was born July 27, 1920, in Somervell County, to Will and Birdie Wilson Weaks. She married James T. Parker, March 22 , 1952, in Cleburne. Marie was a member of Faith Baptist Church. She loved her church family and had a special passion for music. Marie had a great love for farming and ranching. She was an artist and loved painting. She was an avid Texas Rangers Fan. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband and a son, Dwight Lynn Parker in Aug. of 2010.
Survivors: Grandson, Michael Phillips and wife, Theresa, of North Richland Hills; nieces, Carol Juvene Rentfrow, Beverly West, Kay Norman, Debbie Bass; honorary family, Juan and Silvia Flores; best friend and neighbor, Peggy Harkins.
