DECORDOVA — W. Faye Battenfield, 83, passed away Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, in Granbury.
Graveside service: 11:00 a.m. Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Wiley Funeral Home.
Faye was born Oct. 24, 1930, in Yonkers, Okla., to Lawson Van Potter and Melissi Ashby Potter. She married Kenneth B. Battenfield, Apr. 26, 1949, in Pryor, Okla. She had lived in Granbury since 1992 and was a member of Granbury First Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing bridge and reading. Faye was a graduate of Locust Grove, Okla. High School.
Survivors: Son, Michael Battenfield of Castaic, Calif.; grandchildren, Jason, Kenny, Melissa and Tanner; six great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Norma J. Potter of Locust Grove, Okla.; and niece, Renee Potter of Tulsa, Okla.
