Winnie Grantham

Winnie Ruth Grantham, 97, of Granbury, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2017. Service: 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 16, 2017, Wiley Funeral Home, Granbury, Interment: Holly Hills Memorial Park, Visitation: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Friday, December 15, 2017, Wiley Funeral Home, Granbury. Memorials may be made to Interim Hospice.
Winnie was born on February 11, 1920 in Cross Plains, Texas to William and Stella Payne. She married J.C. Grantham on December 14, 1940 in Moran, Texas. They were married for over 71 years. He preceded her in death on May 28, 2012. She was a sweet, loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Winnie was a Christian woman who possessed strong faith. She was a member of Acton United Methodist Church, the Order of Eastern Star, the 50-50 Sunday School class, the United Methodist Women and one of the founders of the Elevian Study club of Premont. She was a secretary in a doctor’s office for over 25 years in Premont, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband J. C. Grantham, sister, Virginia Campbell and brother, William Payne.
Winnie is survived by her sons: Charlie Grantham and wife Jerrie, John Grantham and Debbie, Roger Grantham and wife Sharon, nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
