Funeral: 2:00 p.m. Friday, Apr. 25, 2014, at Wiley Funeral Home. Burial: Rose Hill Cemetery in Cleburne.
Mrs. Parkey was born July 28, 1925, in Cleburne, to Marvin M. Slagle and Zena Council Slagle. She had lived in Glen Rose the past 5 years. Zettilee was a lay minister meeting the needs of people. She enjoyed playing scrabble and 42. Her cat Callie was her love. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Sam Parkey, son, Eric R. Carroll, Sister, Rhoda Ball Slagle Lawrence and brother, Travis M. Slagle.
Survivors: Son, David Carroll of Maryland; grandchildren, Eric Carroll, Daniel Carroll; and several nieces and nephews.
