Heartfelt condolences to your family. I read of Chris's passing from an email that was shared at the Kern County DA's Office. There are still a few of us employed here that worked with Chris. We were saddened to hear the news of his passing, and wanted to share that we have fond memories of how kind he was, and although soft spoken, he loved to talk! I have a note he had written to my husband and I around 1990 after I told him we were building a new home. Taking his opportunity to share God's word, he wrote, "A lesson in building. Building a house or building a life? Do you honor the house or the builder? For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything." Thank you Chris for taking that moment to share, which has prompted me to do the same right now. Peace and blessings to your family.
