GRANBURY — Jessie Hooper died on October 6, 2014.
Service: A private family burial will be held in Ozark, Arkansas.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the University of the South, Sewanee, Tenn., Planned Parenthood, or local Episcopal Church of the United States of America.
Jessie was born in Texas and a resident of Fort Worth, Waco, Pleasanton and Granbury. Her late husband was Ralph W. Hooper of Waco, Texas.
Jessie was an avid decorative painter and volunteered for various organizations including the Women League of Voters and family schizophrenic support groups. She had returned to college later in her life earning several degrees and became a Psychiatric Nurse Clinician. Jessie was commited to the care of the veterans with the Waco Veteran’s Hospital until her retirement.
Survivors: Daughters: Phyllis Waldrep Cranz, Jennifer Waldrep Cook and husband, Brian R. Cook; grandchildren, Jane Sloan Cranz, Alexandra Cranz, Peter Cranz, Andrew Cook and wife, Cortney, Matthew Cook and wife, Jessica; great grandchild, Abagail Cook, nieces and nephews, Bill Green, Jan Kimbrough, Rick Giese, Bobby Giese, Terry Bledsoe, Kimbrough Bledsoe; and many great nieces and nephews.
