GLEN ROSE — Joel Samuel Merrill, 76, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2014 in Fort Worth, TX.
VISITATION: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday at the funeral home
FUNERAL: 2:00 PM, Friday, October 31, 2014 at Wiley Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Squaw Creek Cemetery in Rainbow, TX.
Mr. Merrill was born in the Fort Spunky Community of Hood County TX on December 14, 1937 to Sam and Josephine Goodwin Merrill.
Joel grew up in Glen Rose, TX. He married Wanda Sue Rust on May 5, 1961. Joel was a generous and caring man and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue.
He is survrved by his three sons, Dean Merrill and Wayne Merrill, both of Glen Rose and and Michael J. Merrill of Cleburne; his adopted grandson, Sam Sinclair of Glen Rose; adopted sister, Angie Sinclair of Glen Rose and good friend, Bill Sinclair of Glen Rose, TX.
