Donyce, You and the family are in my heart and prayers. Derrick was a blessing to you as you were to him. As a couple you complimented each other. May you all be kept in God's comfort and blessings.
DON LOSER left a message on June 27, 2016:
Donyce, very sorry to hear about Derrick. He was several levels above me in the Materials Dept. chain of command back in the early-mid 80s. I spent 1982-87 at various suppliers (Rockwell, The Marquardt Co. Hughes Aircraft, etc.) in Southern Cal. I remember one trip Derrick made out there...I was driving him and 2 others to lunch...had to stop at a service station to air up two tires that did not hold air well. I think everybody was having second thoughts about riding with me in my '78 Cutlass with old tires, but I knew the way around as we were in my neighborhood. I don't remember exactly what Derrick said, but I think he was pretty much unperturbed. I was thinking "This is a good thing, maybe Derrick will think I need a raise to afford a new car (or, at least new tires)". Don't remember that concept registering with him, though. :-) He was a good man. Don Loser

Ms D, I am so sorry for Derrick's passing, He was a huge man in the world. I know how much he loved you and his girls and grandkids. He was instrumental in the board and did great work there. I know the RV club won't be the same either. I hope you are ok and will get better and better over time. He will always be with you in your heart and memories so you can talk with him any time you need him . Please come to Alabama and stay if you want to get away. Hugs Susan
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
