GRANBURY — Charles E. Byrne, 72, passed away Friday, Aug. 5, 2016, in Granbury.
Service: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Wiley Funeral Home.
Interment: Acton Cemetery.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home in Granbury.
Charles was born March 22, 1944, in Wichita County to Bernard and Verna Mae Alvey Byrne. Bernard was blessed to have married Bobbye Lou Bunnell in 1988 after Verna Mae’s death. Charles married Shirley Ann Blake in 1984 in Fort Worth. He graduated from Paschal High School and attended UT Arlington.
Charles was a driver for General Motors, retiring after 32 years of service. He loved Lake Granbury, fishing and cherished his family, his children and grandchildren.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bobby Ray Byrne.
Survivors: Wife, Shirley Byrne; daughters, Yvonne and husband, Paul Riddle, and Laurie and husband, Glen Zeptner; sons, Michael and wife, Adrienne Glenn, Stephen Glenn, and Thomas and wife, Stephanie Glenn; stepsister, Linda Bunnell; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
