Our beloved mother and grandmother, Mildred Agnes (Reitcheck) Ludlow passed away on February 6, 2023 at the age of 88. She was a woman of warmth and love and will be missed dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ludlow and 10 siblings.
Millie was born in Seguin, Kansas on August 30, 1934. She and Bob grew up together and were high school sweethearts. They traveled and lived in Europe and across the southern United States during Bob’s service in the U.S. Air Force. At the end of his time in service, Mille and Bob settled in Schertz, Texas, which quickly became her home.
She is survived by her sister, Mayetta McCarty, and eight daughters and their spouses, Melanie and Rod McGuire, Stephanie and Noel Rudd, Pamela and Tom Montifinesse, Allison and Gary Davis, Audrey and Bill Kenney, Jacqueline and Bryant Headley, Janet Ludlow and Gary Oliver, and Keeley and John Garcia. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 20, 2023 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Selma, Texas with a graveside service to follow on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, 10:30 am at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation.
