Rodrigo Escalera, 62, beloved and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023.

 

Rosary and Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 6, 2023 at 11am at the Wiley Funeral Home Glen Rose Chapel, 504 Holden St., in Glen Rose.

 

Rodrigo was born on March 13, 1960, in Durango, Mexico, to Federico and Marcia Escalera.  He married Leticia Mojica and together had 3 sons, Carlos Escalera, Rodrigo, Jr. Escalera, and Freddy Escalera. Rodrigo enjoyed fishing, taking care of his cattle, and listening to music. He will always be remembered for being a hard worker and for his strong work ethic. Rodrigo will affectionately be remembered for the loyalty and dedication he had for his beloved family.

 

Rodrigo is survived by his wife, Leticia Escalera; his sons, Carlos Escalera, Rodrigo Escalera and wife Alejandra and Freddy Escalera and wife Brittney; his grandchildren, Sophia, Oliver, and Christian Escalera; his sisters, Guadalupe and Luz Escalera; his brothers, Federico, Manuel, and Jaime Escalera; and by numerous aunts and uncles.

 

Rodrigo was preceded in death by his parents.

 

Services under the direction of Wiley Funeral Home, Glen Rose, Texas.
