Coy was born March 10, 1972, in Washington, Iowa. In 1983 his family moved to Fort Worth. He graduated from W.E. Boswell High School in 1990.
In life there wasn’t much that Coy did not love. Those who knew him know that Coy lived an adventurous life and he certainly lived it to the fullest! He loved traveling, going to sporting events, spending days on the lake throwing out a few lines, and had a knack for cooking and a passion for horses. Always the entertainer, Coy could captivate any audience with his magnetic personality, his magic tricks and jokes, and he especially liked to get the attention of the ladies!!
With Coy, there was never a dull moment – you actually never knew what to expect, but if you were along for the ride it was going to be one for the memory books! Above any of that, Coy was a generous, kind and good-hearted person who always thought of others and their happiness before his own. He could make friends with anyone he met and had a way about him that made people feel special. Coy always left a lasting impression that people would not forget, and he was truly a unique soul, with a sparkle in his blue eyes, his contagious laugh and room-brightening smile. Coy may be gone from all of us who love him, but he will never be forgotten!!!!
Coy was preceded in death by his father, Don Hanson; his grandparents, Florence and Allan Hanson, Laurene and Curtis Wells; and his uncle James “Butch” Wells.
