Pat (Patricia) McMahan

Pat (Patricia) McMahan (82) of Granbury, TX, passed away in the early hours of Sunday, May 16, 2021. She had been hospitalized after a fall and most recently moved to a physical therapy facility to help her gain back her strength; she did pass away while at that facility.

Memorial Service and internment will be held at the DFW National Cemetery, on Monday, June 21, 2021, at 11am.

She was born June 8, 1938, in Motley County, TX, to the late Arthur and Ruth Cooper. She graduated high school in 1956, in Muleshoe, TX. She married the late Paul McMahan on June 10, 1956, in Progress, TX. They had been married for 54 years at the time of his death in 2011.

She was preceded in death by her husband Paul McMahan, youngest son Steve McMahan, her parents Arthur and Ruth Cooper, brother Ralph Cooper, sisters Sandra Smart, Francis Davis, and Doris Corkins.

She is survived by brother, Harold Copper and Joanna (of Columbia, MD) and sister, Linda Taylor, and Lamar (of Buffalo, WY), two children, Douglas McMahan and wife Glenda of Mansfield, TX and Dianne Meredith of Granbury, TX. Grandchildren Christi (McMahan) Martin and husband Chad, Cassie (McMahan) Handlin and husband Jason, Cody McMahan, and Dylan McMahan. She enjoyed her six great grandchildren, Ashlyn Gary, Andrew Handlin, Blake Handlin, Alyssa Martin, Dacoda McMahan, and Sadie Handlin, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations in Pat McMahan’s honor, to the American Heart Association.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Granbury – date to be determined.
