Bob Roberson

Bob Roberson, 78, of Granbury, passed away from Lewy Body Dementia after a four year illness on Tuesday, December 22, 2020.  Service: 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 27, 2020, Lakeside Baptist Church, Graveside service: 11:00 AM, Monday, December 28, 2020, Dewey Cemetery, Visitation: 6:00 PM -8:00 PM, Saturday, December 26, 2020, Wiley Funeral Home, Granbury.  Memorials may be made to Lewy Body Dementia Association or The Gideons International.  

Bob was born on September 1, 1942 in Abilene, Texas to Jerroed and Ludelle Roberson.  He married Mary Carolyn Larson on August 3, 1968 in Rowland, North Carolina.   He loved playing with his grandchildren and he gave them the biggest smiles and the best hugs.

Bob proudly served in the United States Army.  He received his Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering.  He was the Vice President of Manufacturing for Occidental Chemical Corporation.   Upon retirement in 2001, he travelled all over the United States, Mexico, and Canada with his wife Mary.  He made many friends that they continued to travel with year after year.

Bob was a very active member of Lakeside Baptist Church.  He went on several mission trips to Africa and Romania.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family would like to thank Triena and Johnnie his loving caregivers for the past nine months.

Robert is survived by his wife: Mary Roberson, son: Brian Roberson, daughter: Debra Jennings and her husband Greg, granddaughters: Hannah Roberson, Caroline Jennings, and Elizabeth Jennings, grandsons: Eli Jennings, Caleb Jennings, and Michael Jennings, sister: Marcha Talton and her husband Dave and brother: Dwight Roberson and his wife Patricia.
