LIPAN — Courtney Kay Smalley, 18, passed away Sunday, Apr. 28, 2013, from an automobile accident in Erath County.
Funeral: 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2013, at the Lipan High School Gymnasium. Burial: Evergreen Cemetery in Lipan. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lipan First Baptist Church. The family requests that anyone attending the service, please wear pink.
Courtney was born June 1, 1994, in Chesapeake, Va., to Priscilla Kay Hamilton Smalley and Eric Wayne Smalley. She was a graduate and valedictorian of the Class of 2012 at Lipan High School. She was attending Tarleton State University in the Presidential Honors Program. She was a member of the Phi Mu Sorority, the Tarleton Professional Educators Association and the National Society of Leadership and Success. Courtney was a member of Lipan First Baptist Church.
Survivors: Mother, Priscilla Kay Smalley of Lipan; father, Eric Wayne Smalley of Virginia; grandparents, Kay Melton of Granbury, Frank and Sue Terry of Lipan, Teri Tuggle of Florida, Bill Smalley of Ohio; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
