Dessie Berry

May 30, 1928 - January 27, 2015

Dessie Berry, 86, loving mother and grandmother, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at an area care center.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Committal will be at 4 p.m. in Levelland Cemetery in Levelland. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Biggers Funeral Home.

Dessie was born May 30, 1928. For 19 years she was the tax assessor-collector for the Castleberry ISD, retiring in 1994. She was a longtime member of Westworth Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother; and her husband, Melvin Berry.

Dessie is survived by her daughter, Rhetta Williams and husband, David, of Saginaw; and grandchildren, John Dayton Williams of Fort Worth, Berry Williams of Saginaw and Natalie Williams of Fort Worth.
