Thank each of you for such kind words. He was such a sweet husband and I loved him very much and miss him with every break I take.
Sergio Ordenes left a message on November 1, 2018:
To Don's wife. A few days after Don's birthday, we talked by telephone and you told me about his delicated illness, at last taking your own words, the option was just pray. I did pray for him but I see that God had a different plan for him. When I told my wife about Don (she's member of Adventist Church here in Chile) she said that we must respect what God wanted for him and if he left our world, we have to admit that was the best for him and family. even though I don't belong to any church, I believe in God and I have been all this time real sad because Don was my best friend in the US in 1963 in Amarillo and unfortunatelly it was not possible for me to meet him again. I really wasn't able to call again because I just didn't have the right words for talking. I am very very sorry, but there is a promise that we'll meet again in heaven if God let us join. Please extend this few words to all your family and if it is possible, to his sisters Jane and Donna. Sergio Ordenes from Chile

The memories I have of my Uncle Don were some of the best memories I recall. Always a kind hearted sole with a great since of humor (unless you were a son making smoke bombs in the kitchen) My only regret is that my children didn’t get to experience more of the person I love and admire. He was a outstanding Marine and a better man, Rest In Peace Uncle Don, you will be sorely missed!

I never personally knew Mr. McMillan. If however, he was like the man that his son Bryan is, it would have been an honor. Psalm 46:4 There is a river - its streams delight the city of God, the holy dwelling place of the Most High.
