Dorothy Bolton

Dorothy Bolton, 91 years old, went to be with the Lord on August 17th, 2019 after a lengthily illness. Dorothy was born June 19th, 1928 in Tolar, Texas to George Holt and Harper Loftin Holt. Dorothy was married to Horace Bolton for 61 years and left a beautiful legacy of children. She was a charter member of Fairview Baptist Church, Granbury where she was involved in years of ministry. Her family was proud to call her Mama, Mother, Farrah, BaBa, Aunt Dorothy. Each take comfort in knowing she heard the eternal words, “Well done, good and faithful servant”. She will be Mourned; She will be Missed; She will be happily celebrated for the victorious life she lived.

She taught Science in Granbury I.S.D. for 25 years and retired in May, 1986. Mrs. Bolton was a beloved teacher who built life long relationships with her students and fellow educators.

Dorothy is survived by three children Judy Watson, Jerrel Bolton and Carol Waller (Robbie), Grandchildren Marla Landes (John), Cody Willis (Robbie), Julie Kober (Ken), Zac Bolton (Fawn), Blaire Mooney (Caleb), Harper Kaestner (DJ.), Hayden Waller, Cal Wyatt, Michaela Waller and Sunniva Christensen, Great Grandchildren Jared, Aydan, Selah, Geena, Olivia, Lucas, Addison, Scarlett, Hayes, Melodie Grace, Kai. Sister Janie Tipton (Larry), Brother-in-law’s Lloyd Bolton (Mildred), Royce Bolton (Mary Sue), Sister-in-law’s Laura Nell Taylor, Sue Bolton. And countless nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends. Numerous friends that loved Dorothy and called her BaBa.
