GRANBURY — Edna Earl Bombard Jefferies, 74, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014, in Fort Worth.
Funeral: 2:00 p.m. Friday at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury. Burial: Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Erath County. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Jefferies was born Dec. 10, 1939 to Benjamin Franklin “Shorty” Bombard and Lizzie Mae Schulte Bombard. Edna married Tommy Gene Jefferies on Dec. 6, 1957. She lived in Hood County and Granbury all her life and was the office manager for Waples Machine for 40 years. She was a member of Acton Baptist Church and was baptized in Fall Creek. She was an endowed member of the Order of the Easter Star for 52 years and served as Worthy Matron of her Parent Chapter Granbury #530 and her Plural Chapter Stephenville #801. She served on many special committees of the Worthy Grand Matron. She served as Deputy Grand Matron, District Deputy Grand Matron and received a commission as Grand Representative of Alberta Canada in Texas. Edna represented Texas in Alberta twice, then in 2008-2009 she served as Grand Electa of the Grand Chapter of Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her siblings, Elvin Henry Bombard, Lois Bombard Hicks and Dorothea Bombard Hubble.
Survivors: Children and spouses, Tommy and Donna Jefferies, John and Becky Jefferies, Rebecca and Terry Barrington; grandchildren and spouses, Allen and Sue Jefferies, Chris and Melissa Jefferies, Amanda Jefferies, Hayden Dempsey, Terry Barrington, II, and Brett Barrington; great grandchildren, Zac Kitching and Kyndall Jefferies.
