Floyd Otis Jones Jr.

LIPAN — Floyd Jones Jr., 62, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016, in Fort Worth, while surrounded by his loved ones.
Service: 2 p.m. Friday, at Granbury Church of Christ.
Interment: Holly Hills Memorial Park, Granbury.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Wiley Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to International Lifeline of Hope or Foster Children’s Home in Stephenville.
Floyd Jones was born on Dec. 2, 1953, in Camp Chaffee, Ark., to Floyd and Jean Houghton Jones Sr. After graduating high school, Floyd proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He married his lovely wife, Rhonda Summerville in May of 2001. Floyd was a preacher for 30 years and served as the Minister of Lipan Church of Christ for 17 years. He loved being a preacher and holding home bible studies.
Floyd was a wonderful musician and not only played drums, but several other instruments. He loved to rodeo and rode bareback horses. Floyd coached baseball for the Little League baseball team. He was a stage magician and loved entertaining with his magic tricks. Floyd was very active in the community and was President of Chieftain and Squaws. He loved to smoke meat for fundraisers, especially for the Foster Children’s Home in Stephenville. Floyd will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors: Wife, Rhonda; sons, Cassey Jones and wife, Laura, Cody Jones and Lindsay Hall; daughters, Tanya Jones and fiance, Danny Wood, Lucretia Gross and fiance, Daniel Ashford; nine grandchildren, Hunter, Kindred, Braxton, Wisdom, Bella, River, Bristol, Ena Louise and Taylin; one brother, Dan Jones and wife, Rebecca; two sisters, Bonnie Hoyle and husband, Randy, and Brenda Jones and friend, Adam; and numerous nieces and nephews.
