Frances Hernandez Johnson

Frances Hernandez Johnson, age 78, passed away on February 10, 2021.

Frances Hernandez Johnson was born, January 6, 1943 in Austin, Texas to her parents, Jesse G. and Carrie Hernandez.

Frances moved to Las Vegas, Nevada following high school and met her partner for life, Willie (Johnny) Johnson.  They later married at Nellis AFB Baptist Church and were transferred to George AFB in California, where they made their first home in Apple Valley, California.

Troy, their oldest son, was born in California and Edward came along at the next station in Wichita, Kansas.

Following retirement from the Air Force, they made their permanent home here in Fort Worth, Texas, where Frances finished her cosmetology and Johnny finished his college while employed at Lockheed.

They were both members of Birchman Baptist Church where they served for 35 years.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents and two of her nine siblings, her sister, Mary Helen Elliott and her brother, Jesse G. Hernandez, Jr.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Willie T. (Johnny) Johnson; her two sons, Troy Johnson and Edward J. Johnson both of Fort Worth, Texas.  Her siblings, Margret Warren of Wichita Falls, Texas; Carrie Perez, Dorrie Hernandez and Marshall Hernandez of Austin, Texas; her brother Edward Hernandez of Las Vegas, Nevada.  The youngest of the siblings is Fermin Hernandez who lives in Anna, Texas. Grandchildren, Troy Johnson, Jr.; Shelbi Groom and husband, Josh; Destinye Guerevara and husband, Alex and Dominque Johnson.  Great-Grandchildren, Hannum, Karsen, Avayah, Kohen, King and Neelah.
