Frances Peters

Frances Peters, 85, of Granbury, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2018. Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Wiley Funeral Home Chapel, Granbury. A graveside service will follow at Holly Hills Memorial Park, Granbury.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
She was born on October 12, 1932 in Brownwood, Texas to Joseph and Olivia Spurlock. She married Billy Lee Peters on January 6, 1949 in Brown County, Texas. They were married for 56 years, before his death in 2005.
She is survived by her son, Vic Peters and her daughter, Angela Wallace. She also leaves behind five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and three fur-babies – Gidget, Ginger, and Penny.
She was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather, husband, two sisters, and a nephew.
Frances loved unconditionally and was known as “Mom” to many. Though a collector of cookbooks, she rarely needed them to create her special home-cooked meals. She found joy in using her artistic talents to help others. She was most proud of the wedding dresses for her girls, handcrafted dolls, and handmade items for troops and veterans. She will be dearly missed.
