Glennis was born on August 4, 1934 in Somervell County, Texas to Luther Million and Bessie Daniel. He married Mary Ann Moore on January 9, 1963 in Nacogdoches, Texas and together they raised two daughters in Glen Rose. He loved his family dearly and was an outstanding and honorable husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
In 1954 Glennis joined the United States Air Force serving his country as a Staff Sargent Radar Technician. Upon his honorable discharge he accepted a position with the Exxon Oil Company in 1962 as a Geophysical Engineer, traveling across the Southwest United States in search of oil. It was during this period he met and married Mary Ann. Glennis and Mary Ann journeyed with Exxon for many years while raising their two daughters Angela and Tracy.
In 1970 Glennis brought his family back to his hometown of Glen Rose. It was during this time he worked with the Glen Rose Furniture and Appliance Store where he specialized as a repair technician traveling Somervell county repairing TV’s, refrigerators and other appliances.
Glennis started working for the Glen Rose ISD in 1983 in the maintenance department at the elementary school. During his 26 years at GRISD he was known as the man who could fix anything. He received the prestigious Tiger’s Eye Award for his many years of service to Glen Rose ISD and the community.
Glennis was preceded in death by his parents, two grandchildren: Kevin Sanders and Brian Sanders, and sister: Dorthy Keeter.
Glennis is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Mary Ann Million, daughters: Angela Sanders and husband Mike, and Tracy Taylor and husband David, grandchildren: Jennifer Craver, Nathan Sanders, Jacob Taylor, Brendon Taylor, and Cecile Sanders, great-grandchildren: Bryar Sanders, Lyla Craver, Brazos Sanders and Trey Craver and brother: Alvis Million as well as several nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers: Nathan Sanders, Jacob Taylor, Brendon Taylor, Jon Craver, Rob Oldfather and Don Livingston.
