Helen Cecilia (Mary) Allen Longton, 90, formerly of Groton, Connecticut, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday June 14, 2014, at the home of her daughter Pat Willard in Fort Worth, Texas.
She was born February 8, 1924, to Thomas I. and Helen R. Giguere Allen, in East Pepperell, Massachusetts. She was the second of five siblings, with all but her brother Bob Allen of Pepperell, Massachusetts, predeceasing her. She was also predeceased by her son Michael Paul Longton.
She served honorably in the US Navy during WWII and married Cyril A. Longton from Glenwood City, Wisconsin, September, 20, 1944, in Corpus Christi, Texas. They would have celebrated their 70th anniversary this September.
She is survived by her beloved husband Cy who is 91 years old, daughters Pat Willard, Nancy Willard, Linda Barnett, and son Pete Longton –all of Fort Worth, Texas, her son Chuck Longton of Oakdale, Connecticut, son Joe Longton of Urbanna, Virginia, daughter Joann Longton of New London, Connecticut and son Bill Longton of Norwich, Connecticut. She also leaves 22 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at Fullness in Christ Church 8895 Random Rd. Fort Worth, Texas, Friday June 20, 2014 at 11:00 am. Flowers may be sent to Biggers Funeral Home, 6100 Azle Ave. Fort Worth, Texas, 76135.

We also are so grateful for the love and care from so many family members and friends. Mom was a dedicated wife and mother. Her family is her lasting legacy. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
