GRANBURY — J.D. “Jim” Norton, 78, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2013 in Granbury. Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Wiley Funeral Home. Burial: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Denver City Memorial Park in Denver City. Visitation: 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
J.D. was born May 1, 1935 in DeLeon to James Simpson and Leona Cozby. He worked for Shell Oil Company for 29 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; Carolyn Norton, Lynelle Norton and Gene Sims.
Survivors: Children, Ken and wife, Barbie Norton, Jill and husband, Nick Bowen, Kathy and husband, Skip Torrans, Myron and wife, Pam Sims, Michelle and husband, Gary Mosman and Laurie Sherman; daughter-in-law, Debbie Sims; grandchildren, Evin and John Fahey, Christina Norton, Candace Bowen, Kayla Bowen, James Bowen, Mike and Jennifer Scott, Neal and Melissa Scott, Keith Scott, Russell and Danielle Sims, Kam and Steven Sokol, Susan and David Long and Stefanie Fuentes; and 11 great grandchildren.
