













James Herle Williams, 73, of Granbury, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2017. Memorial service: 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 23, 2017, Granbury Baptist Church, Gathering: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Friday, December 22, 2017, Wiley Funeral Home, Granbury. In lieu of flowers, we suggest a donation to the Cancer Care Services.
James was born on November 16, 1944 in Temple, Texas to Ed and Irene Williams. He was nick-named “Webster” by his dad for being so interested in learning about the world around him that he would even read the dictionary. He was called “Mr. Jim” by all the children, young people and friends he photographed.
He was a plumber and craftsman who was known for being trustworthy and honest. His customers would send him referrals which kept him busy and he never had to place an ad in the paper for work. He also loved working on his own home.
He enjoyed in depth one on one conversations with his pastor, Lonnie Lehrman. He had a close, personal relationship with his Lord.
James loved photography and had a photography studio for a short time. He made many friends through the Pentax Forum and was known for his love of squirrels on the forum. He was also an avid bird watcher who took pleasure in daily feeding the birds.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ed Herle Williams.
James is survived by his loving wife of 51 years: Gail Williams, sons: James Michael Williams and wife Samantha, and Artie Scott Williams and wife Janice, grandchildren: Jeffrey Michael Williams, Nathan Shaw Williams, Kristopher Williams and Bailey James Williams, Mother: Mary Irene Williams, and sisters: Jane Lee Levinski and Kathy Higgins.
