Jo Ann McCasland

Jo Ann McCasland, 72, passed away December 21, 2020 in Granbury, Texas. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Stonewater Church in Granbury, Texas.

Jo Ann was born October 9, 1948 in Alvarado, Texas to Guy and Bonnie Davidson. She married Travis McCasland August 1,1970. They made a home in Bedford for 25 yrs and raised her miracle child Alicia born December 31,1975. While in Bedford she served at church and was a mentor to many youth during that time and sang in the choir. Upon moving to Granbury, she had been promoted to her prized role as Grandma. To Seth Allen Anderson born in March 1998, Callie Rae Anderson born April 2000 and Caleb Michael Anderson born November 2002. She was a step mother to the late Becky McCasland and Grandma to Michelle and Nicole Crosby, Leighbeth Singletary and Ian Shurter. And her great grandchildren Sheila and Joy Soelz.  Brother: Bobby Davidson and wife Shirley and many nieces and nephews and cousins. She served at Lakeside Baptist Church in women’s ministry and then at StoneWater church as a part of the Welcome team and in any other area of service she was needed for. She worked several years at Christian Women Job Corp servicing women and mentoring them to break generational cycles and to point them to Jesus. She loved like nobody else. Her life screamed of God’s grace and redemption. She was proceeded in death by her unborn son, parents Guy and Bonnie Davidson.  Her beloved Aunt Louise and Uncle Bill Dunaway. Cousins Billy Dunaway, Billy Don Dunaway, Uncle Johnny Ray Johnston and cousins James and Johnnie Jr Johnston. She lived a life of BIG LOVE and of God’s grace and redemption. So love and serve like she did and we will keep her legacy alive!
