Jonathan Wayne Baker- Jonathan (Jon) Baker, 57, died following a major heart surgery April 27, 2021 in Dallas, Texas at Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas. He was born March 5, 1964 to Billy Wayne Baker and Margie Sue (Taylor) Baker.
Visitation: 6 – 8 pm, Friday, April 30, 2021 at Biggers Funeral Home in Lake Worth, Texas
A Celebration of Life: 2 pm, Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Newark Church of Christ in Newark, Texas
Followed by the celebration there will be a graveside at Aurora Cemetery in Aurora, Texas
Memorials: Those who wish to honor Jonathan in a special way, the family has asked to make donations in either his or his family’s name to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Jonathan graduated from Haltom High School in Haltom City, TX in 1982. During high school, Jonathan worked with his grandfather, Harold Baker at his body shop and developed a love for working on cars. Following graduation, Jonathan enrolled in the United States Armed Forces in the Army branch and served with his brothers in Saudi Arabia during Desert Storm. During this time Jonathan specialized in Avionics mechanics. After joining the military, Jonathan married Kelli Schwieger on March 11, 1989. They celebrated 32 years of marriage this past March. Jonathan was a proud veteran, patriot, and Godly Christian man and member of Renewal Fellowship; Pastor Jerry and wife Shirley Hood. Following his time in the military Jonathan worked for DEA, Galaxy Aerospace, Gulfstream Aerospace. Jonathan was blessed to spend the last years working for Trimec Aviation in Fort Worth, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Wayne Baker; his brother, Daniel Wayne Baker; his maternal grandparents, Harold and Margorie Baker; his paternal grandparents, Ray and Pearl Taylor; and his in-laws Fred and Doris Schwieger.
His is survived by his wife, Kelli Diane (Schwieger) Baker of Azle, Texas; mother, Margie (Taylor) Baker of Boyd, Texas; brother, Matt Baker and wife, Deb and their daughter, Bethany of Sikeston, Missouri; mother-in law, Linda Potter of Decatur, Texas; son, Aaron Potter and wife, Sheena of Weatherford, Texas; daughter, Kalli(ce) Jo (Baker) Webb and husband, Mark of Denton, Texas; daughter, Jennifer Sisk and husband, Brad of Azle, Texas; sister- in- law Janice (Schwieger) Boaldin and husband, Mike of Newark, Texas; brother-in-law, Freddy Schwieger and wife, Laura of Keller, Texas; brother-in-law, Keith Schwieger of Henrietta, Texas; grandchildren, Adyn, Corban, Avery, Grace, Eleena, Jadi, Liam, Macee, Reid, and Oliver and countless nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.
