Marjorie Ruth Anderson, 90, of Granbury, Texas passed away on Monday, March 5, 2018.
Graveside service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday March 17 at Oak Grove Cemetery, Irving, Texas.
Visitation: 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, March 16 at Martin’s Funeral Home, Granbury, Texas.
Marjorie was born in Houston, Texas on February 29, 1928 to J. B. and Ruth Diamond Stephenson. She enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved her family and hosted many family gatherings in her home. Marjorie was a faithful Christian and loved her church family at Turnpike Church of Christ (now Crosspoint) in Grand Prairie, Texas where she was a member for many years. After raising her children she worked 20 plus years at Wausau Insurance Company. She was a member of the Irving Doll Collectors Club. She enjoyed crochet, quilting and sewing doll clothes. She and her husband Phillip enjoyed camping and canoeing. Marjorie is preceded in death by her husband Robert Philip Anderson of Grand Prairie, Texas, parents J. B. and Ruth Stephenson of Irving, Texas and one great granddaughter.
Survivors: sons James Anderson (Cindy) and Robert Anderson (Cindy), daughter Nelda Johnson (Mark); 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; sisters Doris Barnett and Mary Anne Ray and numerous nieces and nephews.
If desired, donations in her memory may be made to Fosters Home for Children in Stephenville, Texas.
