Rebecca “Becky” Ruth (Keil) Sparkman, 82, of Fort Worth passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2019.
Graveside services: 10 a.m. Monday in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Becky was born on September 14, 1937 in Fort Townson, Oklahoma to the late Royce and Ollie Keil. She grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, California, and Mineral Wells, Texas. It was there that she met the love of her life, Joe Fred Sparkman. They were married at his grandparents home in Mineral Wells on Friday, May 2, 1953. Becky had six children and her career was in the medical field. In her younger years she played softball (third base) for the White Settlement Bombers. She was an avid bowler and she won the ladies State Championship Tournament in San Angelo, Texas in 1983. She loved to read, grow tomatoes, and watch soap operas, but most of all she loved having her family over on holidays for the big wonderful meals she would cook. She loved her family.
Becky was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe; daughters, Polly and Melody; granddaughter, Tanna; sister, Tommie; and brother, Jimmy.
She is survived by her two sons, Danny (Pam) and Jim Bob ( Irene), two daughters, Vicky (Rusty) and Sunni; sister; Mamie; 11 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
