D. Ann Reed

D.Ann Reed, 74, of Granbury, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2019. Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Brazos Covenant Ministries.  Interment will be held at Nubbin Ridge Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until service time.

D.Ann was born on August 20, 1944 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Sherman and Naomi Williams.  She married Ray Reed on August 24, 1962 in Levelland, Texas.  D. Ann and Ray shared an extraordinary love and her love extended to her daughter, son-in-law, and grandsons.

D.Ann received her Bachelor’s degree in Education and taught at Granbury ISD for 25 years.  She loved teaching and her students. She was an active member of Brazos Covenant Ministries where she played piano and keyboard for the praise team. She also enjoyed scrapbooking.  She was preceded in death by her parents and step-parents, her husband, Ray Reed, brother: Tommy Williams, nephews: Dan Reed and Michael Williams, and brothers-in-law: Doug Reed, Beamon McDonald, and Bobby Fiveash.

D.Ann is survived by her daughter: Lori Smith, and husband Adrian, grandsons; Jacob Smith and Joshua Smith, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Jim Reed and wife Cindy of Santa Ynez, California, Phyllis Reed of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Linda Fiveash of Lubbock, Texas, Larry Carlisle and wife Judy of Chandler, Texas, and Marilyn McDonald of Andrews, Texas, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.  Special thanks to Granbury Care Center, Dr.Kuban, and Community Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Community Hospice.
