My best memories of Aunt Shirley are from family camping trips. Whether it was Myrtle Beach or an Ohio autumn weekend at Charles Mills, you could not help but love her and have a wonderful time. Her laugh and her smile were contagious. I never met anyone who met her that didn’t absolutely adore her. Our lives were less bright when she and Uncle Bill moved away from us but I know our loss was everyone else’s gain. She was a special soul and we are all better for knowing her. She will be missed.

I remember when I would ask off of work so I could go see Grandma Grape. Her face would just light up when she saw that we had come to visit with her. She was just a happy person.

Shirley enriched my life in so many ways, we shared a deep love for our Lord & our family, we loved one another as only sisters in Christ can. We laughed together, cried together, & always prayed together. I’m so grateful to God, in His Sovereignty brought us together. I will miss my buddy but I rejoice that she is home with her Savior that she loved so much.
