Alan D. Hunt, 66, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2012.
Graveside service: 10 a.m. Wednesday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Biggers Funeral Home.
Alan was born September 24, 1945, in Paducah to Newton and Nina Hunt and had been an area resident for over 20 years.
He served in the U.S. Navy in Vietnam for which he received a Purple Heart, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal and a Vietnam Campaign Medal for his service.
Alan was a friendly, outgoing, funny person who had a big sense of humor and never met a stranger. He was a hard worker and loved spending time with his family, friends and dogs.
He is survived by: Wife, Julie Ann Hunt of Blue Mound; children, Michele Puente and husband, Jose Orozco, of Lewisville, Misty Savage and husband, Jon, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and John Ford of Blue Mound; grandchildren, Justin, Jessica, Josh, Savannah and Teagin; great-granddaughter, Erilyn.
